The common course syllabus lists the following objectives for this course:

Be exposed to the fundamentals of supporting and troubleshooting computer operating systems
Be familiar to demonstrating how the boot process works
Master installing, supporting, and troubleshooting the different Windows operating systems
Be familiar to troubleshooting Windows on networks and the Internet
Be exposed to the Linux and Mac OS operating systems
